About Atelier Alegria by L&H

Atelier Alegria by L&H was founded by Luz and Hayete, two passionate samba dancers united by their love of Brazilian culture, creativity, and performance. Luz, an engineer and samba dancer for over 10 years, and Hayete, a marketing professional with 4 years of samba experience, have both had the privilege of parading with renowned Rio Carnival samba schools, including Mocidade, Unidos de Padre Miguel, União do Parque Acari, and Em Cima da Hora.

As samba continues to grow in popularity across the United States and Canada, Atelier Alegria was created to help sambistas access high-quality, custom-made costumes designed by people who truly understand the art of samba. Drawing on their firsthand experience as performers, Luz and Hayete know that a costume must be more than beautiful; it must be comfortable, durable, and designed to move effortlessly with the dancer.
